Darya Tsymbalyuk

Darya Tsymbalyuk’s research lies at the intersection of Ukrainian studies, environmental humanities and migration studies, and engages feminist and decolonial approaches to study human-plant relations in stories about displacement from Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. During her time at the IWM, she will be working on finalizing a book proposal and preparing a manuscript for publication. Darya will also be writing various shorter texts addressing Russia’s war on Ukraine through feminist, decolonial, and environmental lenses.
