The research intention behind The International–Kyiv Biennial 2017 project is based on revealing the political potential of the idea of the International today, in an age of shifting territories and structural crisis of global institutions. Taking the biennial format as a multi-institutional political framework to establish a collaboration between civil society organizations, cultural centers, art venues, and the Academia on an international scale, The International–Kyiv Biennial 2017 will model an institutional International, presenting in the cultural field a new political subjectivity that is missing in the field of politics nowadays.
