Project:
Secession in Contemporary International Law with a Special Reference to the post-Soviet Space
This project seeks to establish secession as a legal phenomenon by providing analysis of general international law and an in-depth examination of the post-Soviet case studies. The project traces how the dialectics between legality and effectiveness determine the attainment of statehood via secession and the position of non-State secessionist entities in international law.
