Regelmäßig – in Australien, den USA, Griechenland, Kroatien oder Polen – entscheiden sich Regierungen für Pushbacks. Diese verstoßen zwar gegen nationale und internationale Rechtsnormen, doch werden sie immer weiter normalisiert, auch in der EU. Doch wenn Gesetze und Konventionen offen missachtet werden und dies geleugnet wird, kann dies nicht ohne Auswirkung auf unsere Demokratien bleiben. Should the EU develop new methods of transnational governance – or go local instead, relying on local climate assemblies to design policies with democratic legitimacy? Read more
