My project is a historical ethnography of the global processes of "the making of Holodomor" informed by the Cold War-era politics of knowledge production. It problematizes the overlapping sites where narratives of Holodomor have been produced during and after the Famine by examining ways in which features of the catastrophe were brought to light or concealed locally, nationally and globally, in media, politics and academia.
