The global pandemic of COVID-19 has highlighted the interconnections between the mobility of capital and labour, and existing modes of exclusion and exploitation. This project focuses on the working lives and social reproduction of Eastern European temporary migrants within the European Union. It traces the fault lines that occur from the contradictory dual position of migrants as essential yet dangerous labouring subjects, and their vulnerabilities and potential resistance strategies.
