Moran Pearl

Books and archives contain knowledge and represent the human desire to preserve the past for future generations. My project deals with monuments that use books and libraries as symbols to commemorate the Second World War and the Holocaust. As I am especially interested in the connections between politics, society and visual culture these monuments will be examined in the context of local memory culture and placement, artistic relations and agency.
