Project deals with so called samizdat publications that were issued by opposition groups in Eastern Europe under communist times. Books and newspapers of this kind helped to create pro-democratic movements in Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary and East Germany. In this way samizdat made a contribution to the fall of the East European communism in 1989. The main objective of my research is to compare a polish samizdat with illegal publications in other communist countries.
