IWM Europe’s Futures Fellow Valbona Zeneli Receives the Inspiration Award

The IWM warmly congratulates former IWM Europe’s Futures Fellow Valbona Zeneli on receiving the “Inspiration Award” for women. Zeneli was a Europe’s Futures Fellow at the IWM from 2021 to 2022.

Dr. Valbona Zeneli received the prestigious “Inspiration Award” for women at their gala event in London on January 20. The Inspiration Awards aim to recognize the accomplishments of women who have made a significant impact in their fields and who serve as role models for the next generation of women. The awards cover a wide range of categories, including business, entertainment, and philanthropy, and are voted on by a panel of judges and the public.

Dr. Valbona Zeneli is a German-Albanian scholar who joined the Marshall Center in August 2011 as a professor of National Security Studies. She also serves as the Chair of Strategic Engagements in the Department of Strategic Security Studies. Her portfolio covers the Ukraine Defense Reform Program, the Senior Leaders’ Program for capacity building for parliamentarians, and the Loisach Group. Dr. Zeneli was a non-resident Europe’s Futures Fellow at the IWM, focusing her research on Chinese influence in the Balkans.
