One of the main questions that this lecture aimed to address is whether the phenomenon of global warming challenges - and if so, in what ways - some of the main the narratives or themes of human history that have dominated discussions in the humanities over since the end of the Second World War: docolonization, development, the legacies of European empires, globalization, and the rise of postcolonial thinking.
