Debating Europe on 21 January: Is There a Chance for Peace in the Middle East?

On Sunday, 21 January, a high-profile international panel rings in a new series of Debating Europe events at the Burgtheater Vienna.

What are the conditions that could lead to peace in the Middle East? What role can Europe play? Four experts will convene on stage to discuss these and related questions: Gudrun Harrer (journalist and Middle East expert), Alexander Schallenberg (Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, Republic of Austria), Dahlia Scheindlin (political and strategic consultant, policy analyst at Century International), and Rula Hardal (political scientist at the Shalom Hartman Institute and the Arab-American University). IWM Rector Misha Glenny will moderate the discussion.
