The aim of the project is to reflect on public theater as a moral institution that shapes the social order through its organizational culture. With the help of Józef Tischner’s socio-political thought and using the results of extensive research carried out in Polish publicly-funded theatres, this project considers what production modes, management philosophy, and relational conditions carry moral consequences and which values, interests and beliefs are represented backstage.
