Martha Rosler’s book, Culture Class (2013) critically discusses Richard Florida’s notion of “creative class”. It speaks of phenomena that have now arrived, almost 50 years after their appearance in the US, in Eastern Europe, too, most importantly the utilization of cultural activists and artists in contemporary state apparatuses, under the guise of central urban planning.
