Teresa Baron

This project aims to elucidate the interconnecting moral and legal frameworks that construct kinship relations - particularly parenthood - in the twenty-first century. Teresa Baron is especially interested in investigating the role played by the act of commissioning and being commissioned in either establishing or mitigating parenthood, structuring parent-child relationships that are recognized across international borders even when these exchanges would not be recognized if created on "home" soil.
