The aim of the project is, on the one hand, to reconstruct the political philosophies developed by selected early phenomenologists, such as Arnold Metzger, Moritz Geiger, Aurel Kolnai, Kurt Stavenhagen or Gerhart Husserl, and, on the other hand, to identify the specific method of dealing with political issues inherent in the idea of phenomenology itself. Gniazdowski's analyses of the possible theoretical significance of phenomenology for political science focus on the problem of a possible phenomenological approach to the phenomenon of the state, especially regarding its relationship to law.
