I see Weber and Wittgenstein as two philosophers approaching moral problems of modernity from two different, yet compatible perspectives. My research focuses on the following questions: How would an application of Wittgenstein’s theory of language to Weberian projects of politics and science allow us to analyze Weber’s ethical dilemmas as “language problems”? In what way would it enhance our understanding of the intellectual and practical difficulties we encounter in these two fields of social activity?
