Magdalena Morze’s project seeks to answer the question of whether the way trust in robotic technology is understood is specific to the work environment. In other words, does trust develop differently in production processes than, for example, in service settings? The empirical basis for the project will be a comparative analysis of research findings from her PhD—conducted in warehouse and production environments in companies in Poland, the UK, and Australia—and her ongoing research within the project “Technological Trust in Human–Robot Interaction and Collaboration in the Context of Long-Term Care Homes in Poland.”
In addition, Morze has planned a study in an Austrian company where robots have been introduced, as well as in an elderly care institution that uses social robots.

As part of this fellowship, she aims to develop an interdisciplinary model of contextual trust in human–robot interaction (Contextual Trust in Human–Robot Interaction Model – CT-HRI) through analyzing and comparing trust in two distinct HRI ecosystems: industrial and collaborative robots (manufacturing/logistics) and service and social robots (long-term care; nursing homes). She will also develop recommendations for robot design and implementation aligned with a paradigm that emphasizes the primacy of human dignity, social values, and the quality of work and services.
