Alan M. Olson specializes in philosophy of history, moral philosophy and Hegel studies. Among others, he wrote a book on Heidegger and Jaspers which appeared in 1993 (Temple University Press).
As President of the American Organizing Committee for the Twentieth World Congress of Philosophy, which took place in Boston (USA) in 1998, he was making preparations for the first meeting of the program committee which was held in March 1995 at lWM. The theme of the Congress was "Paideia: Philosophy in the Education of Humanity"
