After Ukrainian territories were liberated from Russian occupation, the Ukraïner team went to film materials about deoccupation in cities and villages that resisted the occupiers. At the heart of these stories are the personal experience and heroic deeds of local residents, who courageously defended their home: they aided and informed the Armed Forces of Ukraine about the locations of sabotage and reconnaisance forces and enemy equipment.
Episodes of "Deoccupation" also address how the lives of some of the people featured in Ukraïner's stories have changed and introduce viewers to the defenders and local activists thanks to whom cities and villages survived in the war with Russia.
