Documenting Ukraine offers financial support in the form of 5000 EUR grants to Ukrainian scholars, journalists, writers, artists, archivists, and others who are working to chronicle the Russo-Ukrainian War. You can read more about the program's mission here. Since the program's inception in March 2022, we have received around 3000 applications from people with diverse, innovative projects to record their and others' wartime experiences. Thanks to our generous donors, we have been able to fund over 400 of those projects and recognize that there is still much more that could be done.
We are thus grateful for any contributions that allow us to expand Documenting Ukraine’s work. Donations can be made in several ways. For detailed information, please contact grants@iwm.at.

Charles Stewart Mott Foundation The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation affirms our founder’s vision of a world in which each of us is in partnership with the rest of the human race — where each individual’s quality of life is connected to the well-being of the community, both locally and globally. We pursue this vision through creative grantmaking, thoughtful communication and other activities that enhance community in its many forms. The same vision of shared learning shapes our internal culture as we strive to maintain an ethic of respect, integrity and responsibility. The Foundation seeks to strengthen, in people and their organizations, what Mr. Mott called “the capacity for accomplishment.” We pursue our vision and mission by making grants through four program teams, as well as by supporting exploratory and special projects. |
