Our project aims—in the simple form of a comic—to relate the story of the preservation of the Odesa Museum for the Personal Collection of the Oleksandr Bleshchunov Fund, as well as its life from 24 February 2022 onwards. The main characters of the graphic novel are two museum cats—Marisel and Panna Cotta. The choice of characters is deliberate: First of all, they are based on real-life animals taken care of by the museum staff. Secondly, Odesa is known for having a big population of cats, cherished by its residents. Therefore, Marisel and Panna Cotta were given the important task of chronicling the dramatic events occurring at the museum and in the city. The project exists in two formats: a printed Ukrainian edition and an online version in Ukrainian and English.
