The project Guardians of the Internet: Providers at War investigates the source of the Ukrainian internet’s resilience. It documents the unprecedented experience of Ukrainian internet service providers (ISPs) and infrastructure operators whose work has become critical during Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Through interviews with leading engineers, technical specialists, and executives operating under shelling, within occupied territories, on the home front, and abroad, the project collects oral testimonies and visual evidence of their contribution to the struggle for independence. The documented materials will be deposited in the National Archival Fund of Ukraine as separate specialized collections, creating a lasting record of human and technological resistance in the Russo-Ukrainian War for future scholarly research.
