The project is aimed at documenting the work of one of the most effective civilian drone-operator training schools in Ukraine. This school emerged as a grassroots initiative in the spring of 2022 and has continued to grow and operate successfully ever since. Several dozen instructors work with this volunteer, non-profit project. These people, very different in their civilian lives, are united by shared goals focused on the defense of Ukraine. The activities of such initiatives need to be documented now, while they remain non-politicized and are still at the peak of their development.
The results of the project will include a set of in-depth interviews with the key figures of the school and with its trainees. In the future, these interviews will be valuable for researchers studying the war, forms of resistance, and the self-organization of society. Igor Serdiuk also hopes to write an educational book based on these interviews.
