This project is designed to document oral evidence from residents of Kherson, who for two years have been in mortal danger from drone attacks. It focuses primarily on daily survival strategies. The project is based on an interdisciplinary approach that combines oral history, micro-urban studies, and military anthropology. This approach allows for creating memory archives and practical resources for other Ukrainian communities that may face similar threats.
The project aims to record, in the format of oral history, the experiences of Kherson residents who have been living under constant drone attacks; to preserve and reinterpret the unique mechanisms developed by civilians in order to adapt to risks; to consider survival as an intellectual and cultural practice; and to provide resources that can save the lives of residents in other regions.
