Roots through Time is an artistic research project about the connection between people and their place of residence and the loss of this connection under the influence of forced and voluntary displacement. The central focus is the creation of a series of installations and painted works that combine painting techniques, branches, fabric, and objects symbolizing home and a change of space. The works will artistically interpret the experiences of people forced to leave their homes.
The central part of the project is an exhibition program in Ukraine involving collaboration with the curator Marina Koneva. Presentations are planned in Lviv and Kharkiv, cities where the themes of rootedness and loss of home have particular resonance. The exhibition schedule will be determined based on the availability of galleries, but the goal is to ensure broad public access and professional discussion.
