GRANTEE
Eyelashes and Sand Crystals is a 25-minute poetic documentary exploring a botanical collection that has been evacuated from Kherson during the war. Now stored in exile in Ivano-Frankivsk, the herbarium becomes a fragile archive of environmental memory and loss. Through Soviet archives, observational footage of scientists at work and expeditions into endangered ecosystems, the film reflects on preservation as resistance and the parallels between displaced plants and displaced people.
