The journalist, author, and current IWM Rector will leave the Institute to become a presenter on BBC Radio 4.
Misha Glenny has been Rector of the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) since 2022. During his tenure, he has contributed significantly to strengthening the Institute's international standing. The IWM respects his wish to join the BBC's In Our Time series and wishes him every success in his new position.
The terms of Misha Glenny's departure are currently still under discussion. The Institute will continue its activities as planned and has already begun the search for a suitable successor. A call for applications will be issued in early 2026.
