Political Communication 4.0: Tracing Recent Changes in Political Communication
The joint project with Markus Rheindorf aims to analyze recent changes in the field of political communication and to understand and explain them in the context of socio-political changes. We ask whether there are new forms, spaces and dynamics in political discourse; whether these allow for new forms of bottom-up re-politicization in local settings; and how they relate to the top-down strategies of depoliticization pursued by some political actors.
