Project:

The Remains of the Real. Politics after Postmodernism

This project examines the socio-political landscape created by the parallel contemporary crises of neoliberal capitalism and poststructuralist social theory, rethinking the Heideggerian concepts of truth as aletheia and the structural category of the Real. Populist revolts are regarded as a form of disclosure—a traumatic encounter with the Real—that attests to the existing crisis. The project also investigates progressive forms of political organization that would go beyond dysfunctional representation mechanisms to accommodate the energies of populism.
