The Philosophy of Dialogue

Tuesday, 11 September 2018, 4:00pm - 5:30pm, IWM library
Every acting starts with intentions. Consequentely, we should look for the sources of meaning not only in our acts and their effects, but also inside, in our intentions. Yet how to do this? It seems that the only possibility to do so resides in Dialogue and in the intentional meeting of I and Thou.

Bartlomiej Sipiński’s book, bearing the plain title Dialogue, is an endeavor to reach the sphere of intentions by examining the encounter of I and Thou.

Bartlomiej Sipiński is a Polish writer, essayist, philosopher and academic teacher.

Ludger Hagedorn is a Permanent Fellow at the IWM as well as Head of the Institute’s Patočka Archive and Program.
