Belonging to the observational documentary category, the film follows the everyday life of a very poor family in a Romanian village. Whereas at first the camera seems to focus on the younger children and the mother, it finally settles on the oldest son living at home, Mihai. Having abandoned his University studies in Theology because of lack of money, Mihai had to come back home to work the family’s land alongside his father and his siblings.
