Yugoslavian Army General Headquarters building damaged during NATO bombing

The presentation addresses the experience of and the practices of remembering related to the 1999 NATO airstrikes on Serbia in the discourse of the community gathered around the Hungarian-language literary and social sciences journal Symposion published in Serbia. Through an examination of e-mails written at the time of the bombing and conducting interviews with members of the group years after, issues related to mnemonic communities, alternative memories, trauma and collective memory are going to be discussed.
