Education as the Limit
Prejudice against Roma is very widespread. One of the reasons for the difficulty of fighting discrimination is that we do not show enough good examples in the spotlight. My project is designed to demonstrate that there are intelligent and educated Roma who are willing to work in spite of facing unequal treatment. In particular, I shall explore the case of a young university-educated Roma teacher who has been struggling to get a job for several years only to see time and again that unqualified teachers are hired instead of her.
