Project:

Non-Libidinal Economy and Reality of the Ideal

My project revisits such phenomena of the Socialist societies as 1.the dismissal of sexuality, 2. the convergence of matter and idea, of the general and the immanent, 3. the imperative of realism in art as the outcomes of the non-libidinal economy and the collapse of surplus value, rather than the ideological programming on behalf of party politics. Evald Ilyenkov’s thought is the example of such stance, the main question for which is: what if the ideal is not external to reality, to the unconscious; and what if the matter contains the thinking capacity?
