Project:
The Principle of (Non)Intervention: Inter-Polity Systems since the Seventeenth Century
Building upon a discursive and historical analysis of three historical junctures in Europe (the Peace of Westphalia, the French Revolution, as well as the Congress of Vienna and the subsequent period of the Concert of Europe), my research at IWM aims at casting an analytical light on the current debate of (non)intervention by uncovering how principles of (non)intervention and sovereignty were constructed, enacted, and transformed over time.
