The Józef Tischner Debates, jointly
launched by the IWM and Warsaw
University in 2005, are a series of public
debates in memory of the Polish priest
and philosopher Józef Tischner, founding
president of the IWM. In the debates,
which are chaired by Marcin Król,
Professor of the History of Ideas at
Warsaw University, and IWM Rector
Krzysztof Michalski, politicians, scholars
and intellectuals discuss contemporary
social issues. The debates are held in
Warsaw.

Gemeinsam mit dem Erasmus-Lehrstuhl
der Warschauer Universität
organisiert das IWM seit 2005 die Józef
Tischner Debatten in Warschau, eine Veranstaltungsreihe
in Erinnerung an den
polnischen Priester und Philosophen
Józef Tischner, den Gründungspräsidenten
des IWM. Bei den Debatten treten Persönlichkeiten
aus Politik, Wissenschaft
und Kultur auf, um aktuelle gesellschaftliche
Fragen zu diskutieren. Moderatoren
sind Marcin Król, Professor für Ideengeschichte
