Junior Visiting Fellowship for Scholars from Ukraine

The new joint fellowship program of the IWM and the Center for Urban History of East Central Europe in Lviv (Ukraine) supports research on the legacies of Europe in the history of Ukraine. Topics include modern intellectual, cultural, social and political history. Doctoral and post-doctoral researchers from Ukraine are eligible to apply. The grantee will have the opportunity to work in residence at the IWM for ten months.

Das neue Stipendienprogramm des IWM und des Zentrums für Stadtgeschichte Ostmitteleuropas in Lviv (Ukraine) richtet sich an Wissenschaftler/ innen, die sich mit dem europäischen Erbe in der Geschichte der Ukraine beschäftigen. Forschungsprojekte können in den verschiedenen historischen Disziplinen, namentlich der Geistesgeschichte, Kulturgeschichte, Sozialgeschichte und der politischen Geschichte, angesiedelt sein. Das Programm wendet sich an Doktoranden/innen und Postdoktoranden/innen aus der Ukraine, die die Möglichkeit erhalten, für zehn Monate am IWM zu forschen.

The Center for Urban History of East Central Europe in Lviv / Lemberg (Ukraine) was founded in 2004 as a private foundation. It focuses on cities in East Central Europe in past and present and combines research and teaching activity with a commitment to present-day urban culture and development mainly in the city of Lviv.
