Series “Colloquia on Secularism”

The seminar will discuss the recent developments in Religious Education (RE) across Europe with regard to the issues of multiculturalism and state secularism. A particular emphasis will be made on the cases of England and Wales, Russia, Germany and Poland.

The discussion will be focused on the ethnic and religious aspects of education in the multicultural world, pedagogical paradigm shift in teaching religion in state and private schools, the role of politics in religious and citizenship education, the impact of religious communities on the school RE curriculum.
