Europe´s Futures

Monday, 10 September 2018, 4:00pm - 5:30pm, IWM library
The resilience of democratic institutions in EU-member states confronted by the rising tide of extremist political parties? Vitality of the EU grappling with the lack of a shared foreign policy? Without a joint asylum policy? With enlargement as yet a distant promise? What is the positive vision for the future for the European Union?

Politics and policies investigated, broken-down, critically recast and presented by key European actors under the auspices of “Europe’s Futures”, a partnership initiative by IWM and ERSTE Foundation.

Tim Judah of The Economist, a world-class reporter on Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe, Gerald Knaus of the European Stability Initiative, the designer of game-changing policy proposals on migration, and Piotr Buras of the European Council on Foreign Relations, a top expert on German-Polish and inner-EU relations, in talk with IWM’s Permanent Fellow Ivan Vejvoda.
